The Benefits of Weakness

2 Cor 12:9 (ESV)He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. & this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. — Grace is defined as undeserved favor!”—James 4:6 He gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. —Our God gives grace as a gift!—Rev 22:21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. —There is nothing else like the favor of our God! Love Mel

What’s this Communion all about?

1 Cor 11:25 (ESV) In the same way also He took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. Matt 26:26-28 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, & after blessing it broke it & gave it to the disciples, 7 said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” & He took a cup, & when He had given thanks He gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful & just to forgive us our sins & to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. — The shedding of innocent blood for the atonement of sin was the method to restore the relationship between God & man! Jesus was the final sacrifice! — Hebrews 9:22 tells us that forgiveness only comes through an outpouring of blood. —Jesus really is the lamb of God that takes away the sins of man! We must do this with a thankful heart in total remembrance of Him! Love Mel

FAITH!

Matt 21:21 (ESV)Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith & do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up & thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. James 1:6 Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven & tossed by the wind.  —Real faith is a test of your willingness to surrender! Faith comes from the heart & functions with a renewed mind! Logic & reason blocks miracles but the faith filled renewed mind opens the door to miracles! We must learn to believe every word that He has spoken to the point that doubt no longer have a place within us! Love Mel

Godly Sorrow Leads to Life – Not Death

Have you ever considered that Regret could be a gift from God when it draws us to repentance! — 2 Cor 7:10 (ESV)For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. Rom 8:28 We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.— When we learn to trust God for all things, we move from all worldly things, to find the spiritual! All things are new!  Two men betrayed Jesus on the night He was crucified. Judas had worldly sorrow (regret), & his life was ended. Peter had godly sorrow (repentance), & his life was transformed. We must trust & move toward repentance by removing all regret! It is a process! Move quickly! Love Mel

Work Out Your Salvation With Fear and Trembling!!

Phil 2:12-13 (ESV) Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear & trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will & to work for His good pleasure. — What do you think it means to work out our salvation with fear & trembling? First the Greek indicates to continue to work to bring something to completion, second the Greek word translated “fear” means “reverence” or “respect.” Finally in “pursuit” of our salvation! So we are to pursue our salvation with respect by continuing to bring it to completion! Let’s do it! And don’t forget to abide in the vine = Joy, Peace & Pray continually with thanksgiving! Love Mel
