For Such a Time as This

Esther 4:14 (KJV): “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” The words of Mordecai to his niece Esther in 500 BC ring true to us today as believers. This is the time of year when Jews celebrate Purim – commemorating the deliverance of Jewish people from destruction once again. Esther rose to the occasion and exposed the treachery of Haman the Agagite, thereby saving the Jewish people. The words of Mordecai are for us as well. Will we rise to the occasion in our homes and families and in our nation and on our knees in prayer for this world and the fulfillment of Gods plan – or will we let others open the door for the king of glory to do His work? Do you think it an accident that we live in these times. You are here for such a time as this. Let God use us to bring His plan to pass.

Pray and Think About the Right Things

Phil 4:4-9 (all ESV) Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer & supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. & the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts & your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned & received & heard & seen in me—practice these things, & the God of peace will be with you. — What do you think about? Maybe it’s time to try something new! Let’s choose to think about the things that are worthy of praise! We must learn to guard our hearts & minds, it will bring us closer to Him! Love Mel

Can You Comprehend The Love of God?

Eph3:14-21 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven & on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted & grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth & length & height & depth, & to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church & in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever & ever. Amen. — God’s Love Is Incredible, Infinite & Unfailing; God’s Love for us Is Personal; God Loves Us Just as We Are; God’s Love Helps Us Grow & Improve; When Things Are Difficult, Cling to God’s Love Because He Cares About Us; & God’s Love For Us Should Inspire Us to Love Others. Fear NOT!

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong & courageous. Do not be frightened, & do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Deut 31:6 Be strong & courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Isaiah 41:13 For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” — Life is filled with issues that we deal with everyday! Many times this is where our God wants to demonstrate His Lordship over our lives & fight for us. Fear draws us away from Him. However, when we finally decide to trust Him & lay it at His feet, it is here where He begins to fight for us! Love Mel

Apart from Christ We Can Do Nothing!

John 15:4-5 Abide in Me, & I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me & I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:7 If you remain in me & my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, & it will be given you. Col1:10 So that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing [to Him], bearing fruit in every good work & growing in the knowledge of God. —Put first things first! We all have priorities in our life. If God is first then we must have Him as #1. So how do we do this? We must have an active prayer life & a willingness to abide there as often as we can! & He will equip us for whatever for the day. Do Good & Walk in Love! Love Mel
