2 Chron 7:14 (all KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, & turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, & will forgive their sin, & will heal their land. 2 Cor 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety nine just persons, which need no repentance. — God wants us to seek repentance. Satan wants us to hold to resentment. Repentance leads to eternal life. Resentment leads to death. Repentance leads to freedom. Resentment leads to bondage! Which will you choose? Psalm 149:3 (all KJV) Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel & harp. Psalm 150:4 Praise Him with the timbrel & dance: praise Him with stringed instruments & organs. Ex 15:20-21 Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; & all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances & Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for He hath triumphed gloriously; the horse & his rider hath He thrown into the sea. 2 Sam 6:14 David danced before the LORD with all his might; & David was girded with a linen ephod. Zeph 3:17 The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing. — Being joyful, dancing, making music is all part of the celebration of our God. Matt 13:45-46 (KJV)Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went & sold all that he had, & bought it. — Have you ever considered how a pearl is formed? A small grain of sand gets inside the oyster & over time due to the irritation of the sand a pearl is created. Pearls are considered a treasure. — Matt 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth & rust doth corrupt, & where thieves break through & steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, & where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. — Could giving praise to God be building treasures in heaven? Consider, it is easy to give praise when everything is going great, but just maybe giving Him praise in our difficult times is like building our own pearls in heaven. — Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, & into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, & bless His name. Hebr 11:6 (KJV)Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, & that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. — Looking to please God? Then increase your faith. — Rom 10:17 (KJV)So then faith cometh by hearing, & hearing by the word of God. Gal3:5 (ESV) Does he who supplies the Spirit to you & works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?…Gal 3:9 (ESV) So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. Gal 3:10 (ESV)For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse…Gal3:13 (ESV) Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us…. Luke 10:2 (KJV) Therefore said He unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: PRAY ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest. Matt 9:37-38 (KJV) Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; PRAY ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest. — A labourer is someone who works with their hands; who is engaged in manual labor. Labor is both physical & sometimes with mental exertion, both difficult & exhausting. In other words, WORK! Our Lord is looking for those that are willing to WORK by PRAYING for HIS HARVEST. Are you willing to WORK for Him? Just say yes & spend more time in PRAYER and finding opportunities to love and serve! Love Mel
