A quick word from James – the brother of Jesus. James 1 (KJV)
“19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” Be a doer of the word. Matt 21:22 (ESV)Whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have FAITH. Rom 10:17 FAITH comes from hearing, & hearing through the word of Christ. 2 Cor 5:7 We walk by FAITH, not by sight. Mark 11:22 Jesus answered them, “Have FAITH in God.” 2 Tim 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the FAITH. — The Bible tells us that the righteous shall live by FAITH. Satan likes to use fear to get us to question our faith! However, he doesn’t completely understand that Adversity is God’s most effective tool to develop our strong FAITH. So I say to you all, no matter what is going on, keep the FAITH. Love Mel

Isaiah 46:4 (NIV)Even to your old age & gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you & I will carry you; I will sustain you & I will rescue you. — A verse shared by my daughter, Megan today! It had a picture of a Momma bear with her cub on her back! Such a beautiful picture of our God! He tells us in —Deut 31:6 (ESV)Be strong & courageous. Do not fear or be in dread, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted & saves the crushed in spirit. 1Chron 16:11 Seek the Lord & His strength; seek His presence continually. — BECAUSE— Phil 4:13 We can do all things through Him who strengthens us. 2 Thes 1:6 (KJV)Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;— Did you know that our God will trouble those who trouble us? — Exod 23:22 If you will LISTEN carefully to My voice & do everything I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies & a foe to your foes. — Key is LISTEN & OBEY! —Rom 8:26 (ESV)Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. — He intercedes for us! Love Mel

James 4:7 (KJV)Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, & he will flee from you. James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, & He shall lift you up. Prov 29:23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. Rom 12:1 (ESV) I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. — Submitting & humbling is not easy for most! However to submit our will to allow His will is the true call to come to Him! He waits patiently for us to surrender to Jesus. — Prov 3:5-6 (KJV) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; & lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, & He shall direct thy paths.— It is the only way to get on the right path! Surrender to Him. Love Mel
